Rolls Royce To Support Indian Startups For Data Innovation

Leading automaker Rolls Royce will be mentoring and providing technical support to  Indian startup specialised in the field of advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, the blockchain, sensing through its acceleration hub, R2 Data Labs, the company announced in Bengaluru recently.

With Bengaluru turning itself into a global hub for startup innovation, the move can be seen as an attempt to strengthen Rolls Royce’s foothold in India through collaborative practices. With the collaborations, the company will be directly engaging with budding startups that harnesses the latest technologies from a wide community of innovators.

Rolls Royce launched R2 Data Labs in 2017 to accelerate data innovation by tapping the best use cases of AI, Ml and advanced analytics. By fostering in-house innovation, it further hopes to improve its design, manufacturing and operational efficiency to further customer satisfaction.

To achieve this, the company has also partnered with Tata Consultancy Service and Microsoft for their digital services. While TCS will be closely working with Rolls Royce to provide digital platform capabilities, data capturing for faster product designing and development.

Speaking about the collaboration, Kishore Jayaraman, President, Rolls-Royce, India and South Asia, said, “We recognise that some of the best digital capabilities exist outside of our business.
