Video products solution startup VideoKen this week raised $930,000 in their second round of seed funding. The round was led by SRI Capital, Touchstone Equities and Hyderabad Angels.
The Princeton and Bengaluru-based startup uses artificial intelligence and machine learning to summarise videos into digital textbooks which include automated indexes and glossaries for videos. Now with the fresh round of funding, the company plans to use the money to further expand in North America.
Manish Gupta, co-founder and CEO of VideoKen, told a news portal, “Enterprises are producing and consuming videos in a big way for a variety of stakeholders — customers, partners and employees. The consumability of these videos remains a huge challenge, the experience needs a complete transformation.”
In their first round of seed funding, VideoKen had raised $1 million from a slew of angel investors.
VideoKen was founded in 2017 by Gupta, the former VP of Xerox, and Ashish Vikram, former VP of Engineering at Yahoo and Flipkart. They currently have two products — one aimed at the marketing and communication functions of enterprises and the other is tailored for the learning vertical.
