Bengaluru-based SenseHawk, drone analytics startup is in the news for reportedly raising $2 million in a funding round led by SAIF Partners, a venture and growth capital fund. As per news reports, other angel investors also participated in the round.
The startup provides a cloud-based enterprise platform that uses advanced AI to analyse data collected from UAVs will use the funding to strengthen its business development outside India and plans to make inroads in US and Australia. According to a statement, the solutions combine different kinds of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), sensors, and data processing to create decision-making tools that drive productivity in the energy and infrastructure industries.
The drone analytics startup is founded by Rahul Sankhe and Swarup Mavanoor in 2016 and has 17 employees currently. News report indicate the startup will step up hiring in a bid to bolster business development and deepen the product pipeline. SenseHawk provides a suite of SaaS tools that work to streamline processes across the life-cycle of infrastructure assets. The startup’s enterprise platform works with the latest data acquisition tools including UAVs, IoT enabled devices and SCADA systems to provide asset owners, developers, investors, lenders, EPC contractors and technical teams with timely and super accurate information.
According to a news report, the enterprise platform provides an app, an AI engine and web-based interface. While the app collects data from drone operations, the engine identifies patterns and the web-based interface generate insights for decision-making.
