Data analytics company, Axtria plans to double its headcount in India. In order to satisfy the growing demand for data analytics and cloud-based solutions from the US, Latin America and Europe, the company is looking to hire over 700 data science professional in India.
“Axtria’s current workforce in India is 750. The company plans to double its headcount,” Axtria’s co-founder and CEO Jaswinder Chadha told a news wire, while launching its second delivery center in India on Tuesday.
The new facility in Noida’s Candor Tech space is Axtria’s fourth facility in the NCR. The other three are in Cyber City, Gurugram with the most recent one being launched in September 2017. Apart from India, the company also has offices in New Jersey, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Boston, Chicago, Atlanta, London, and Dublin.
“The company is witnessing extensive demand for solutions from across the globe and the Indian delivery center has played a big role.” Chadha said in a press release.
He added, “The Gurugram and Noida facilities will have the capacity for roughly 1,400 people. And as we grow, we will decide whether to increase our capacity in NCR or consider [expansion in] south of India. The reason we are expanding in India is to continue to innovate and build solutions that resonate with our clients globally.”
Axtria is reportedly looking to hire data science professionals from IITs, NITs and IIITs across all levels. It is also planning to hire data scientist, business analysts, technical leads and data architects from the talent pool available in the country.
The company is planning to raise $30 to $50 million in Series D funding, which will be used for operations and strengthening infrastructure and scaling. Founded in 2010, the data science firm is strategically funded by investors such as Helion Venture Partners, Sequoia Capital and HNIs.
