Under Oracle’s Startup Cloud Accelerator program, which the tech giant calls ‘next-generation acceleration initiative’, the first batch of startups have been announced from Delhi and Mumbai. The startups selected under the first cohort are working on technologies like artificial intelligence and Internet of Things, with a focus on solving larger problems in day to day life.
The program for which the applications were invited in May 2017, has selected a mix of companies using AI, predictive analytics, IoT, machine learning, chatbot and VR.
Apart from Delhi and Mumbai, Oracle has a centre in Bangalore. They are also looking forward to carry international expansion with centres in Tel Aviv, Bristol, Paris, Singapore and Sao Paulo, to boost more innovation in tech space.
Sanket Atal, who is the Group Vice President of Development at Oracle was reportedly quoted as saying that as Indian startup continue to make noticeable strides in technology led innovation and Oracle is set to help these startups scale new heights. “What is interesting is that majority of the companies that applied are using artificial intelligence and machine learning and these are areas that we have (already) embraced tremendously,” he said.
The startups that have been selected are iNICU, that diagnoses critical diseases in neonatal by leveraging AI and predictive analytics, ReUP, which is a B2B ORM platform providing customer experience management tool by using intelligent processes, Original4sure, that offers technology-based anti-counterfeiting to enterprises, Digital Agents Interactive, an an enterprise software company creating innovative 3D, AR, VR enterprise products and ChatterOn, a startup providing end to end chatbot development platform.
The Startup Cloud Accelerator was launched in April 2016 and has since helped startups in areas of marketing, finance, cybersecurity, pharma, hospitality etc.
