Close on the heels of the Central Government’s programmes such as ‘Make In India’ and ‘Start Up India’, the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sanghatan is now set to embrace “smart” technology.
Unveiling the Profile Card for the new programme ‘Swasth Bachche, Swasth Bharat’ at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Kochi Union Minister for Human Resource Development Prakash Javadekar highlighted all-round development for children across the nation.
Similar to PM Modi’s technology-driven programmes, the Swasth Bachche, Swasth Bharat mission is to provide a comprehensive and inclusive report card for children of all age groups and abilities. While the key focus of the programme is towards the health and physical education of the students, the statement by the HRD Ministry also adds that the information and progress of the students is to be tracked digitally.

“…Motivating potentially outstanding performers in various games and sports of excellence, using technology for data capture and analytics, and giving access to schools, parents and teachers, are also the objectives of the programmes,” said the statement.
Earlier this week, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had met over 200 CEOs of startups from all over the country and had asked them to promote digital, cashless transactions.
