emids, a healthcare IT leader and data & analytics solution provider has recently announced the acquisition of Encore Health Resources, a leading health information analytics and technology consulting company.
With this acquisition emids is hopeful that they would have an increased ability to serve the needs of providers, and offer more holistic solutions to payers and technology partners.

The company blogpost also noted that Encore would operate as a business unit within emids, spearheaded by Tom Niehaus, who has been associated with Encore for the last few years and in its latest capacity was the President and CEO of the Houston based firm. It also said that Dana Sellers will be a member their board of directors.
The acquisition would mean an increase in emids’ people strength by almost 200 consultants with more than 50 health systems being added to their portfolio, thus deepening their healthcare analytics expertise.
“It’s exciting times ahead”, said emids, who has been catering to Fortune 500 healthcare firms since 1999 and has developed 20 specialized clinical analytics systems that help lower operational cost by 30%.
